The Best of the #ToonMe Challenge
About the #ToonMe Challenge
What started out as a sketchy mirror selfie evolved into a viral new art challenge.
The #ToonMe Challenge began on January 7th, 2020, when artist and illustrator René Córdova posted a half-real, half-drawn selfie to his Instagram.
His caption for the photo was simple: #toonme #challenge. Since then, the #ToonMe hashtag has amassed over 100,000 posts on Instagram.
After learning of the founder of the #ToonMe Challenge, fellow artists have left comments to express their support and gratitude.
Thank you for creating this challenge! AND awesome work on yours! ????❤️

“We’re here to keep you up to date on all aspects of otaku culture, as well as shine a spotlight on some of our favorite artists.”
EDITOR
At nitrotaku, one of our goals is to find and spotlight artists that we feel produce stunning work, and make this hobby what it is.
To this end, we’ve decided to feature some of these artists and their artwork on our website.
At its core, “art” is one of the main factors that make up “otaku culture,” and we hope you appreciate these artists and enjoy their artwork as much as we do.
